Idiom: Call it a day.

Meaning: To stop working on something.

Examples:
I’m tired of working. Time to call it a day.

Billy, you’ve been studying all afternoon. Time to call it a day.

Let me finish this last paragraph and I’ll call it a day.

Should we call it a day, or work another hour to finish drafting the proposal?

The rehearsal went late into the evening. We didn’t call it a day until around 10:30 in the evening.

There’s no way I’m going to finish my report this evening so I may as well call it a day and continue working in the morning.
